It is free to join Al Jamea tus Saifiyah Library (London) and benefit from the wide range of stock available to borrow, including books, magazines, and other resources.
You can join the library by either:

- Contacting any staff at library reception to assist with the membership process.
ITS Number:
You will need your ITS number to register and access library services, such as renewing your books online or issuing the public-access books inside the library.
Adults / Young Adults (16+ years old)
On visiting the library, please provide ITS Number to complete the joining process.
Children and Teenagers (under 16 years old)
A parent / guardian is needed to sign up a member under 16 years old. When visiting the library, they will need to:
- provide proof of ID
- provide ITS number

It’s the simplest way to manage your account; search the catalogue and reserve items, keep track and easily renew your loans.
Borrowing Items
- All readers can borrow up to 2 items at a time.
- Borrowed materials have a due date of 2 weeks. Users are responsible for returning the borrowed items to the library before the due date.
- Fines are charges on all items brought back after their due date, or renewed after their due date, for borrowers aged 16 and above.
- Overdue charges apply at a rate of 20 pence per day for each overdue item.
Renewing Items
There are multiple ways to renew your loans and avoid overdue fines.* These include:
- In person at the library.
- Calling library staff and requesting them to Renew
- Login into your account via Libarika (link provided above) and request Renewal
A. Initial Renew options
For the first renewal users have two options:
- Renew the book in-person at the library
- Renew the book online through library’s official app (LIBRARIKA)
B. Subsequent Renewal
After the initial renew users are requested to return the book in-person to the library
C. Late Renew Charges
If a person renews the book online but fails to return the book before the extended due date, a charge of 20 pence per day applies for each item.
Reserving Items
Items that are available within Al Jamea tus Saifiyah Library (London) can be reserved for free by library staff or users using Libarika – users can select the date to collect the items from and have the option of being notified via email.
Noise and Behavior
Users are requested to maintain a quiet atmosphere all the time. Set your mobile phones to silent mode while using the library.
Food and Drinks
Utmost care must be taken that any edible item or beverages are not spilled. Dispose off the trash in the bins.
Lost or Damaged Materials
Report any item lost or damaged to the staff. Users are responsible for the repair cost of lost or damaged items.
